Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Lucent International Advisors collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We wrote it with the personal data protection laws of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt and Lebanon in mind, the countries where we have offices.

Who we are

Lucent International Advisors provides audit, accounting, tax and advisory services, with offices in Amman, Riyadh, Doha, Cairo and Beirut. We are responsible for the personal data described on this page, and you can reach us using the contact details at the end of it.

What we collect

We collect only the information you choose to give us, plus the limited technical data every website receives when it serves a page.

  • Contact form: your name, email address, country and message, and, if you add them, your phone number and the service you are interested in. We also note the language of the page you used.
  • Phone and email: if you call or write to one of our offices, we receive your number or address and what you send.
  • Technical data: your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the language you choose. We use it to serve the site, block abuse and keep security logs.
  • Bot check: when you use the contact form, our security provider examines technical signals from your browser to tell people from automated programs.
  • Error reports: if something breaks while you use the site, a report with technical details (the page, your browser and what failed) goes to our error-monitoring provider so that we can fix it. If you allowed analytics cookies, it can include a short replay of the moments before the error, with all text and images hidden.

How we use it

Each piece of information has a stated purpose, and we do not reuse it later for something you would not expect.

  • To answer your enquiry through the Lucent team in the country you chose, and to follow up on it.
  • To protect the site and the contact form against spam, automated abuse and attacks.
  • To find and fix errors on the site.
  • With your consent, to understand which pages are useful so that we can improve them.
  • With your consent, to measure how well our own advertising works.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file your browser stores. Ours fall into three groups. Necessary cookies are set on every visit because the site cannot work without them. Nothing in the other two groups is set unless you allow it, and you can change your choice at any time.

  • Necessary

Your session, the security token on our forms and your cookie choices. The site cannot work without them.

  • Analytics

Show which pages are visited and how, so that we can improve them. They also let an error report include a short replay of the moments before the error, with all text and images hidden.

  • Marketing

Measure our own advertising and show relevant ads on other sites.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. A small number of service providers process it on our instructions so that the site and our replies can work.

  • Our teams in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt and Lebanon, so that the one closest to your business can answer you.
  • Hosting providers, which run the site and store its database.
  • Email providers, which deliver the notifications sent from the contact form and host our mailbox.
  • Security and network providers, which protect the site and run the bot check on the contact form.
  • Our error-monitoring provider, which receives the error reports described above.
  • Analytics and advertising platforms such as Google and Meta, only if you allow those cookies. Otherwise their tags do not load and they receive nothing from this site.
  • Public authorities, only when the law requires us to.

International transfers

Our teams work across five countries, and some of our providers process data elsewhere, for example in the European Union or the United States. When your data moves from one country to another, we rely on the safeguards the applicable law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for.

  • Enquiries: 24 months from the day we receive them, then deleted.
  • Copies in our database backups and in our email provider’s logs: deleted automatically within 90 days of the enquiry itself.
  • Security logs: for a short period, then deleted automatically.
  • Error reports: for a short period, then deleted automatically.
  • Analytics and advertising data: under the provider’s own retention settings, and only if you allowed those cookies.

Your rights

Wherever you are, you have the following rights over the information we hold about you. To use any of them, contact us using the details below and we will reply within the period the applicable law allows.

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
  • Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your data when we have no continuing reason to keep it.
  • Object to, or ask us to limit, how we use your data.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, including your cookie choices, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.
  • Complain to the data protection authority in your country.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries are stored in a private database that only authorised staff can reach, and the contact form is protected against automated abuse by rate limits and a bot check.

Children

This website is meant for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects choices you made, we will ask you again.
